Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The standout feature of Chandos Grove is the freshness of its ingredients—many customers appreciate the lack of frozen items. The generous portion sizes cater to sharing or hearty individual servings, often enough for two. Their crispy chips consistently rate highly, providing the perfect complement to fish dishes and Chinese takeout alike. The friendly staff adds a welcoming touch, enhancing the dining experience. Many return for the bang-on sweet and sour sauce that perfectly balances flavor without being overly sweet. With affordable prices, it's no wonder that Chandos Grove enjoys a loyal following.

Customers rave about the variety on the menu, making it easy to find something for everyone, whether it's a filling meal or a quick snack. Late-night food offerings and prompt service make this the go-to for night owls and busy bees.

Most Disliked

One of the most common complaints is the cash-only payment policy, which can be inconvenient for those who expect to pay by card. Customers note the absence of dine-in seating, as the restaurant primarily focuses on takeout and delivery. This layout can deter those looking for a sit-down dining experience. Additionally, peak visit times often lead to longer wait times, with popular evenings like Mondays and Wednesdays seeing packed crowds.

Some reviews mention a lack of side options compared to other takeout spots. While the menu features an impressive variety, additional side dishes could enhance the overall experience. Overall, these issues do not detract significantly from the quality of food served, but they are worth considering before visiting.

Friendly staff and incredible food! I’m usually quite harsh on food admittedly, but Chando’s is fresh & incredibly good value. Best sweet and sour sauce I’ve tried, chips are always crispy and not mushy, not much is frozen that I’ve had and generally just good solid. Get on Just Eat!

A good place with good food which taste good. There is no dine in, only take away. The price is convenient to some extent. They are fast and prompt at service. Only Cash is Accepted here, NO Card. Hygiene is good and the environment is also good. Their meals are mostly for 2 persons regular. Recommended.

I live dangerously close (like 30 seconds away) so have to resist the temptation not to come here every evening. Amazing food, lovely staff, never had a bad experience. Portions are huge so I’m always left with lunch for the next day. Can’t recommend enough and so happy it’s on my doorstep!
